Welcome to Deer Ridge Maple
Deer Ridge Maple was established in 2004 by my husband Jaret and I but the love of producing maple syrup began when Jaret was just a child. At the age of 6, Jaret began tapping the trees around his family home and carting the sap on his sled to his neighbor Prescott Kelley. After selling his sap for years, he made the shift to boiling the sap himself. After many years of boiling outside, Jaret and his father Reg built their first sugarhouse in 1992. In 2004, we upgraded to our current Handicap Accessible Sugarhouse that utilizes new technology to increase our efficiency while preserving the tradition of producing maple syrup. We currently tap 4000 trees on our own 32 acres in Derby.
Our current operation is dedicated to Jaret's dad, who passed away in 2001 from diabetes. We enjoy sharing our love of maple sugaring and welcome visitors anytime of year. Just give us a call at (802) 766-5447 or (802) 323-2167, so we can make sure someone will be home to greet you.
Thank you,
Jaret and Jessica Judd
